Re: Glock

Lately I've become very concerned about the spectre of worsening gun bans and attempts at confiscation. My focus has gone to building the Polymer 80 Glock clones. . Very easy, teaches the inner workings of the weapon so one can completely strip it down in seconds to replace/repair if needed and no F...

Re: Your choice(s) for SHTF weapons

I would not put myself in the position to have only one gun for any emergency situation. I believe in the old adage that a pistol is used to get to your rifle. For a pistol many firearms experts feel the Glock G19 is the best handgun for many reasons including simplicity, availability of parts and a...

Re: Newest gun or latest upgrade

Two words, or one word and one number; Polymer 80. I'm building my handguns now. I recommend it now while it's still legal especially in light of current anti gun legislation efforts

Here's something else. Got an email from the Organic Prepper about this. Don't have firm confirmation but many references come up on a web search https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/united-nations-seeks-disarmament-demobilization-and-reintegration-officer-in-new-york/ https://www.google.com/search?q=u...

Re: Inexpensive medical supplies

I would add to make sure any waterproof seal/gasket is rubber. We shooters have learned that plastic or other seals crack, break, leak much easier and faster. Throw in some of those little dessicated envelopes found in med and vitamin bottles.

Re: Colloidal Silver

As a healthcare provider I am bound to practice using scientific principle and evidence-based knowledge. That by no means excludes complimentary forms of treatments. Having said that I throw this out as one of the many academic sources of info of colloidal silver. The burn creme mentioned is Silvade...

Re: Medications during grid down/SHTF

Another possibility is to look for like-minded healthcare providers to get samples or prescriptions from. Or ask your regular provider for a refill on antibiotics (for stockpiling). Kept in a dark, dry, stable temperature environment capsules and tablets can last a decade or more. The one exception ...

There are several fish antibiotics on the market and generally all safe for humans. Buy from a reputable source and look for "USP" in the description.

Re: Smallest caliber you'd feel comfortable carrying?

No problems carrying a .380 ACP. I subscribe to the old adage "any gun is better than no gun" . Sometimes conditions dictate a small weapon. Modern ballistics make up for it's shortfalls of years ago. Also is an excellent choice IMHO as a BUG on the ankle.
