In the year 2034 the Chinese make a move against Taiwan. The US intervenes and gets blown out of the water because China uses it's advanced AI technical ability to knock out all of the US (Chinese made) electronic counter warfare systems and shut down our nationwide technology systems. Things escalate from there. Pretty scary book.
