Brooke!
Our old Basset passed away in October (16yrs). I told Fran to wait a reasonable time before looking, like after New Years. Well, she looked. Looking lead to meeting, and meeting lead to adopting and here she is! Rescued from Puerto Rico post-storms. She was a street dog for a bit (called Sato's). Also looks like she had a leg injury but seems 100%
Not exactly sure of the breed, but it seems like she will be a great companion and a good guard dog. She is part sweetheart and part jackyl! Always goodf top have a good dog as part of the family and as a prep/security device.

Very cool! She looks pretty comfy on the chair. And that’s good because it means she’s comfortable with her surroundings and new home.
A man cannot call himself peaceful if he is not capable of violence. If he's not capable of violence he isn't peaceful, he is harmless. There is a distinct difference.

Congrats on the new family member.
We too have added a new member after Oreo (our Great Dane) passed in July. This is Max and he is adjusting to his new home very well.
