Teaching another generation

My wife's niece has asked her to teach her to shot. She has taught one niece and now teaching a second niece. Both have went from non-gun people to purchasing firearms and working on getting the carry license. Along with teaching the niece, they both want her to teach the grand-nieces. She started last night teaching the one grand-niece and she picked it up very quickly. It is interesting watching the grand-niece, she knows and understands all four gun handling rules and was even lecturing her mom about them.

It is neat seeing them learning and slowly getting better prepared.

I take pleasure in teaching people to shoot. Children are especially fun. I can't wait until my nephews are ready to learn.

Been nearly two years since the OP. How are they doing? Have they kept up with learning and practicing?

One niece is carrying on a fairly regular bases. The other other niece has her permit, but doesn't carry that often. She has been diagnosed with MS and is going through those health issues, so it has been a little challenging.

The grand-nieces have become more interested in the tractors and goofing off at the farm (and this is starting to be replaced by becoming more interested in those evil boys). Yet, when we break out the 22 rifle, they all want a turn with it.
