Placed in the water supply? Distributed by air? I don't know the possible transmission platforms for fentanyl but according to the article;
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, one kilogram of fentanyl is capable of killing up to 500,000 people.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse says fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine.
Either way she is only a link in the chain. They need to find the rest of the chain.

I'm saying, just as the virus most likely came from the lab, the motivation for muling that much Fentynal is $$$.
