Makes an interesting option.
A man cannot call himself peaceful if he is not capable of violence. If he's not capable of violence he isn't peaceful, he is harmless. There is a distinct difference.

Fate whispers to the warrior "You cannot weather this storm". The warrior replies, "I am the storm".

Shot a LOT of 30-30 as a kid. I have always said it was the 7.62x39 of the west.

I'd get one except that a) I don't hunt deer really and b) if I did, I wouldn't be shooting 200 yards.

I hate a scope on a lever. But I really like it for all medium range work.

Just for the sake of conversation....

I picked up a 44 mag barrel for my H&R single shot shotgun a couple years ago.

That's a cut down 357 mag bbl below it. You can fit pistol caliber barrels on H&R shotgun frames.

As for lever guns. Here is my Winchester 94 30-30. It was made in 1941

And my Marlin 44 mag. That's a 1-3x Weaver V3 scope on it. The old eyes need optics these days.

Added bonus. My 357 mag Timberwolf and Security 6
