That's correct. And I just heard the information that multiple other states have joined the suit including Florida. The gist is that the states named in the suit violated the Constitution by changing election laws prior to the election using either the states executive or judiciary branch and that according to the Constitution that power lies solely with the legislature of the state. Reader's Digest version is that the election in these states should be ruled null and void and the electors chosen by the State's legislature which again is Constitutional and has been done twice in history.

Yeah, it's quickly coming to a head. Hunker down time.

I'm told the 1930s was a quiet decade.

Again - I don't have a dog in the hunt, so I'm not paying attention to the bugle or the yelping dogs.

So many possibilities, and all of them a loss for the Nation. In the end, Freedom loses, one way or the other, sooner or later. And I now believe sooner is way sooner than I would have thought. Hey - times change, things happen.

IF Trump gets it back: The eruption in violence will be horrendous I think. You will see a nation divided beyond repair most likely. After 4 more years of that - the Dems will run a REAL enemy of the state, Not an addled old man and his demographically diverse sidekick.

IF Biden Wins: The Liberal Machine, emboldened by their early victory goes to work. Senate can't stop everything. And still half the nation is divided. Too much malfeasance on the part of the libs for the right to go quietly. Too much hutzpah on the part of the left to quietly accept their win and move on to normalcy.

No matter what - the peoples faith in the process has been forever damaged. And that boys and girls, is a ripe time for trouble. Ask Venezuaela, or 20-30 other countries how that works.

Interesting times are a coming. Or of course, it IS possible that everyone settles their crap down, and things chill out.

As for the Scotus? 5-4 on Church attendance? An 8th grader could critique that result. At the end of the day, one has to remember that they really are above it all. If they get together and say "We HAVE to stop this crap and send a message - Keep the election pure!" they will. And if they feel "We can't over turn this, we have had too much pain, too much hassle, and things will only get back to normal if we avoid the violence". they will.

And your feelings about it do not necessarily come into play.

17 States have joined the Texas lawsuit against Georgia, Penn, Michigan and Wisconsin. This went directly to the SCOTUS. Today is the deadline for those states to fill their briefs. Penn filed yesterday and it was rather revealing. Rather than make an attempt to refute the allegations in the Texas suit they went the route of 'no court has ever over turned an election and it would be a mistake if you overturn this one'. So basically asking the SCOTUS to turn a blind eye and let it ride 'for the good of the country'.

PA's position is understandable. Being understandable and being reasonable are two different matters.

The issues the Texas suit raised sound reasonable to me.
