HK USP & an extra mg (fed 124HST)

And for friends/family....

I'd say you have it covered altho the Mossberg and a side arm should be forceful enough... But it never hurts to be layered/ thorough.

I am not concerned. Out of 4,000,000 people in my city, a couple of thousand acting up. Police are actively taking photographs. There will be an active pursuit of prosecutions over the next few months.

Video cameras in stores do not discourage robbers/shoplifters. And, in most instances, your local convenience store is on its own. This time, the response will be misdemeanor prosecutions with probation time. I think that will cool some of the radicals on a long term basis.

Same as normal, although last nights riots were only about 20 minutes away (by vehicle). ‘Normal’ is pretty layered though. I’ll toss the LCP in my pocket for in and around the house. Other options are available in the house. However, if I need to go out, such as picking up my wife’s medicine at CVS, I’m considering a couple of options;
  • Continue with my P365 for EDC with spare 12-round mag on my belt but changing out the 10-round mag in my sling back for one or two 15-round mags.
  • Changing over to my G26.4 w/G15 round mag and Xgrip, spare 15-round mag on body and one or two 15-round mags in the sling bag.
If for some reason I need to be out and about I may toss the Sub 2K in the car. A lot of this stuff doesn’t kick off until later in the day but you never know. Last night in Tampa they stormed a CVS, Mobil gas station and other businesses. What if you’re walking through Costco and a flash mob kicks off?

Nothing new here. We won't get any riots locally. If we did, the standard nightstand gun is riot ready anyway.

Well, I've been at the cabin for the last 6 days and am just now learning about the rioting. Coincidentally I've been running through my various rifles over the last few weeks checking them out and doing my annual sight in.

I am home now so here is my list that I might grab for SHTF

1. S&W M&P 15 W/1-4X SCOPE (my go to)
2. AR Pistol w/red dot (can be carried loaded with my CPL in my vehicle)
3. AR Dissapator (16" bbl w/rifle gas system, no optic, soft shooting, my homemade backup to the S&W)
5. AR A2 Carbine no optic...Basic, simple
6. AR ultra light no optic (easy to handle, good choice for wife)
7. Kel Tec SU16 no optic (light weight, accurate, uses AR mags, folds in half)

In reality a 16" bbl, light weight 10/22 with 25 round mags is leaning by the back door for my wife.

My girlfriend gave me a hard time. "SHouldn't you already be ready?"

My response: "I was - now I'm way more ready and so are you!"

If I change over to Glock for EDC I may very well carry the G19.5FS rather than the G26.4. For the most part though I’m still carrying the P365.
