So tired of them all crying for help when things go wrong. yes - NY is an awesome city. Love it! But there are problems putting that many people in that small of a space.

I never cared for New York city. Crowded, dirty and driving was a joke. No desire to ever go there again. It is kinda 'odd' that the Governor continues to cry over needed stuff when he's sitting on warehouses full of the stuff untouched (like the 1K ventilators that were sitting unused while he cried about needing more ventilators). He simply took a page out of the Puerto Rico Governors playbook i.e. hide the stuff and then bash Trump for not sending enough. Disgusting. To top it off, he was given billions to resupply the state and squandered it on a solar powered company.
A man cannot call himself peaceful if he is not capable of violence. If he's not capable of violence he isn't peaceful, he is harmless. There is a distinct difference.

Cities are problematic, especially at the size they have become. And of course, we see that the largest problems come from the largest cities.

A GOOD and RESPONSIBLE thing after this would be to have a city Stockpile and a State stockpile. I get it that there are times we should all come to each others aid. But there is also a point you take some responsibility for yourself.

I hear the large cities crying for help a lot (NY, LA, Chicago, etc...). I don't hear the rest of the country doing so. We are not going to do away with those places, and that is fine. But recognizing a little responsibility would be a good thing. I'm not sure NY rushes to anyone else aid very often. I could be wrong.

As I mentioned above, NY had ample opportunity to stockpile necessities but used the billions of dollars on pet projects instead. Bad management.

And as always - NO large city has sufficient resources to handle a lot of problems all at once.

I wonder what the per capita hospital bed ration to population is in New York...

In this particular case it doesn't matter. The media is reporting hospitals in NY as 'war zones' yet a ton of folks are going to their local hospitals (around the country in 'hot' spots) and posting that various hospitals are ghost towns and NOT a 'war zone'.

That's a great point. With the MSM you just don't know what is real and what is agenda-driven fake news. CBS just admitted they faked the footage from last week when they put NY as a 'war zone' but used footage from a hospital in Italy.
