Watch oil for a bottom in the Stock Market

Post by aerynsun »

I posted about the stock market crash in the other forum.

You should watch oil for a bottom in the stock market. Around the world business is slowing. Oil will not be in demand so the price will drop. In Jan 2016 it hit 33, now it is about 46.

Watching a show right now that is stating that 85% of China small business, which according to them is 80% of their total market, will be out of cash in three months if things continue as they are now due to the corona virus. How bad things are depends on the source of information. But if China's economy is hit hard it will of course have a ripple effect around the world.

The next few months will be something to monitor closely. Whether or not the virus becomes an honest to goodness pandemic, the fear of it is having an impact worldwide.

January 2016 was hardly a crash.

And yes - oil is one thing to watch but not the only thing, and not in all situations.

Yeah, cruise lines are taking it straight in the face right now. They have issues ordinarily and now it's just intensified. Wouldn't want to be in a plane right now either.

Cruise ships often have issues. They take it in the face every few months for some reason. I never want to be on a plane, virus or no.

Interesting in SC that gas is dropping but diesel has stayed the same. $2.11 for gas, $2.69 for diesel.

Diesel is between $2.65ish[Bio] and $2.85 here in the Sarasota area. Glad mines a 2006 so no DEF. DEF is $7.98-$12.98 depending on brand and where. Not nice to the wallet.
