A Quarter-Million Israeli Gun Applicants Prove the Necessity of our Second Amendment

More than 260,000 Israelis have applied for firearm permits since the horrific Hamas terrorist attacks, according to The Times of Israel.

While the Israeli government has loosened some permitting restrictions, the results are still far from the civil rights Americans enjoy under the Second Amendment.
Itamar Ben Gvir, Israel’s National Security Minister, told the Times his office was approving 3,000 firearm permit applications per day, as opposed to around 100 per day before the terrorist attacks.

“When the war started, we knew that we were right when we said that every person that has a weapon can save a life,” Ben Gvir said, according to the Times. “We need to enable as many people as possible to carry a weapon.”


I've postulated that similar attacks could occur here in the U.S. as a result of global politics, the current regime and terrorists coming into the country unchecked.

I don't think 'invasion'. Logistically impossible for them. A coordinated series of terrorist attacks on the other hand is possible considering the number of bad actors the current regime has allowed into the country.

A completely home based defense force could easily make it nearly impossible to attack the US. For example, to get here from China - you need a pretty big fleet tao cross three entire Pacific.

Just not an easy, or even sensible thing to do in the classic sense.

Logistically it would be highly improbably. Never want to say 'impossible' but simply put an army needs to be moved from point A to point B. Being surrounded by major water on both sides goes a long way. Then once a force is here they have to be resupplied regularly. That's a logistic nightmare. Shelter, food, medicine, ammunition, clothing, fuel etc.

A bunch of military aged Chinese were caught illegally entering the southern border. They were carrying electronic (spy?) equipment. So the Chinese don't need to physically invade this county when they can control the economy and buy us up piece by piece.
