We just planted more carrots, you have to love fresh carrots in your slow cooked roast.

We have so many plants, that we spent the weekend thinning them out and pruning them back. They were overtaking everything.

That's great! The ones I put in at the beginning of July are thriving and flowering - but not setting fruit. We shall see - at least the sphinx moths haven't destroyed them.

We were having issues with stink bugs, so the thinning will help with that.

We have more volunteer plants than we know what to do with. Most aren't going to get big enough to produce anything this year, but we had about a dozen of them that came on early enough that they have been producing like crazy. We went through and thinned a bunch and all that seemed to do was allow more volunteer plants come up.

The heat and drought has been hard on the plants, but most are over six feet tall and keep producing.
