An attempt to produce a more advanced, 2Xe Cruiser that could easily duel with other 1X and 2Xe Cruisers, an attempt which wasn't really successful, but did lead to seven of these larger Blockade Runners being built at two small Neutral Zone Shipyards operated by independent Orion Interests from 2300 to 2303. One, the OPC Xeramisa joined the WYN Star Cluster and was converted for use as a Patrol Cruiser in 2326, departing with the Sanford Link-Caravan in 2339.
