I think David's right - I hadn't considered how ease of carry comes into it. While I personally find them equally easy to carry AIWB, I'm a fella - a lady certainly might have a different take. And the Max is pocketable.

Found myself at Academy this evening. Really looking for ammo for an upcoming trip to the range. However, although they were pretty well stocked the prices were not what I was willing to pay. But I did see an LCP (original) for $199. Been thinking about getting one again (and wish I had keep my previous one). The Max is still clearly superior in every metric except for being just slightly heavier and thicker (by a very small amount). So I picked it up just to have the smallest footprint possible in case I feel like carrying a 2nd pistol but don't want to feel loaded down.

I'll vet it probably next week.

Still rocking the Max and carry it fairly often.
