I've had the 19X for a couple of years now. It's the one and only Glock I've ever purchased new. And that's only because I was able to get it through R&R Sports for under blue label pricing. I generally feel Glocks are overpriced in this market. So I either trade or purchase them used when I find a deal.
  • My G26.4 with Trijicon HD night sights was $400 used but practically new.
  • My G22.4 with TFO night sights and 9mm conversion barrel was $357 used but practically new (9mm barrel had never been used).
  • My G19.5 was used but never shot, so basically new was $350.
I've had many other Glocks over the years but all used at good deals. That's the nice thing about Glock, used is almost always as good as new as long as they haven't been obviously abused.

In regards to the HK's, they're keepers.

So, I took my pimped Glock 23/9 to the range for a test run. As you may have seen on Glock Talk, I had some concerns about the guide spring.

Anyway - a few notes:

#1 Functioned perfectly! I'll still likely replace the spring on principle as I continue to tinker with the gun, but it worked just fine

#2 Really liked the extended mag release! No mag drops while shooting.

#3 Here is the big one....shot it better than. I ever have!!! That big metal mag well, and the 4oz weight really make it work for me somehow. Very exciting. It was HK perfect, but it was very very good.

Good deal! :)

Always nice when everything comes together. What are you thinking, stainless steel guide rod? IIRC, you've got a Gen 3 right?

I'm learning that the 19X has been discontinued by Glock, though I see it is still listed on Glock's website. Many online sources are out of stock and some are reporting that their distributors are saying it is no longer being produced. Brownell's lists it as being discontinued by the factory. Midway has it out of stock with no back orders. Bit surprised if true as the 19X was a big seller for Glock. Maybe it slumped off? Maybe the G45 fully replaced the 19X? Not sure, but I do know that I like mine.

Yes - Gen 3. I don't know about Stainless. was thinking Tungesten for the weight. I'll just try spring first just for the exercise of it.

I don't know it it was the weight, the hand position change on the flair or what...but shot it great yesterday. Not HK great, but still - I was very satisfied with my performance.

Not so much with my PPS....

I've been toying with the idea of getting a Gen 4 Glock 21 and then exploring options such as 45 Super and conversion barrels in 10mm. Starting looking at the Glock 41 though and I'm getting interested in it for a base model and possible conversions. That extra barrel length is going to increase velocity and sight radius.

I didn't realize that the slide was thinner on the G41 as opposed to the G21.
