The owner said it was a 'miscommunication'. How?

The only reason he responded is because the Yelp reviews were killing them.

Sounds like the snowflake establishment needs a solid boycott in addition to the bad yelp reviews. They had just opened up so you figure they’d be happy for patronage and good advertisement/press.
