Holster - Paddle v Belt

So, I'm looking for a Holster for my Blackhawk 6.5

On the one hand, I'd really like a nice cowboy right thigh rig with a nice left hand for a "someday" percussion cap 1891 or whatever....

That said - I also don't see many belt holsters that I like, and of course, I need the belt.

What about a Paddle Holster? Just something to have this on me if I want. COuld can't holster for right/straight/left hand carry. Thoughts?

I have a western style holster for my Ruger Redhawk but I rarely ever wear it. Instead I prefer a chest style that I can also wear as a shoulder holster. It's basically a cheap nylon holster with a strap I bought at a gun show 30 years ago. I carried that gun/holster in Alaska everyday for 3 weeks while hiking, camping and fishing. I also carry it while deer hunting. Shown with a 1911 but will hold just about any large auto or revolver.

If you wear it with the strap over the other shoulder it becomes a shoulder holster/under the arm.

Yeah - I though about the harness, but when camping I already have a lot of straps.

I ordered a paddle hostler. I think it will work out. Just never been a paddle guy. Not sure why.

Holster arrived! I am very pleased. Paddle is comfortable, feels snug. Adjustable for right or left draw. I have it set for a left side cross draw. Gun fits well.

pics soon.
