That time of year

In our area, it is time for the Copperheads to have their babies. So, you have to watch reaching into brush piles and such.

Copperheads mate in the spring then have babies from August through October, sometimes producing up to 14 snakes in a litter.

And the babies are worse than adults as they inject all the poison they have. ( thank goodness they carry less than adults )
