Too many guns being pulled ... be careful out there.

I think one of the reasons for all these guns being pulled is the irony of the internet ... it connects people but also isolates them socially. People begin to expect and act out what they are and see on the net.
I expect more of this behavior and minor issues blowing up to shoot outs.
The virus will only make things worse as it isolates people more.
Be aware of yourself and how you interact with others when in the real world.
Predators are looking for victims.
People who are expecting to be victimized will be looking out for that. You can see it with some who interact with the police - they get into the face of the police officer daring them to hit them. That can be you also.

Long term ... I see like minded people banding together if they can. These will mostly be older people who can move and think this way. Many will not be able to because of work and they will be isolated in their apartment.

I saw the video and the black woman seemed to be looking for a problem. She stood behind the vehicle in an effort to block the couple from leaving. Then she acts like the victim.
But in general I agree. There will be folks looking to cause an issue where none exists. And then play the victim when challenged.

... way to much but not enough IMO to pull a gun.
Have to be real vigilant with the crazies lately.
Personally, I would not have continued the argument, have found many times in past it just gives them more credibility to continue ranting.

De-escalation is the best approach. Until it is time not to de-escalate.

Now that I watched the video...
So many problems here.
#1 - We don't see the original incident. Always a problem. Could have been a flagrant disregard of surrounding with someone walking into someone. Could also have been an intentional "bump & run" style to get this sort of attention on the bumped persons part.
#2 Picking a fight beyond "WTF" or "Watch where you are going" or "Excuse me". etc. Again - never pick a fight. You don't know who or what it will be with. De-escalate. I'm guessing the argumentative woman wasn't capable of this emotionally/intellectually, or did it intentionally.
#3 Calling person racist. Just as bad as them dropping an N bomb. There is unfortunately an entire generation or two of people who have been raised to view everything as racist. That's a shame. She can blame her mother for nearly getting shot. Not that it will help.
#4 Getting into the argument with the bumped persons. Just leave. Don't engage, don't discuss. Just say I'm sorry and roll on. You don't even have to mean it. De-escalate.
#5 Continuing to argue instead of just leaving on the couple's part. This was a really bad idea on their end - ESPECIALLY since armed! Clearly engaging with someone who wanted a fight for whatever reason - Scam attempt, feeling emboldened due to media, just an angry/stupid person whatever.
#6 Going behind the car. That was either stupid, or directly aggravating the person in the car. At that point - they were violating that persons right to leave. Or whatever. A bump in no way shape or form nor lack of apology allows that. Now person in car calls the cops. Whoever calls first wins. Usually.
#7 Not asking person to move from behind the van / not filming themselves. That would have made it very interesting....That is all it would have taken I bet to get her to move. Not that you should have to. But since she is there....
#8 Person pressed forward on the woman holding the gun. Gun welder clearly retreating. Based on that alone - I'm going to let it go. Woman is lucky she didn't get shot. Evidence suggests she was being pressed. Coming at someone with a firearm is stupid and you should be allowed to get your wish. Kudos to woman for not shooting.
#9 Guy got fired? Oh man.... lawsuit HEAVEN! Interestingly the kid is yelling for the Mom to leave them alone. I suspect this isn't the woman's first run in pissing off people. I could be wrong.
Either way - gun couple just p[ut themselves in a mess of crap. Was it worth it? I'd say no. was it necessary - absolutely not.

#8 lesson - the person who pressed forward is the same as those who get into the face of a police officer ... they think a VIDEO RECORDING and their being unarmed is their strength. Any show of force and they win.
The weight of my gun reminds me of situational awareness and I have a higher obligation to peace in word and action.
Don't take out a gun unless you are going to pull the trigger. Brandishing a gun in today's world doesn't scare a lot of people.

Don't point unless you plan on pulling the trigger. DOn't pull the trigger unless you plan on killing them - Pappy
That "get in my personal space thing" is really annoying. The rule there should be one request to step back. Fail to comply out to arms length and fair game.

People are asking for the police to be defunded and removed, what do the expect people to do, roll over and be the victim?

That is precisely what they want. BLM is of course a racist organization, but they are also a Marxist organization. That isn't opinion, that is fact based upon the words of their own founders as well as the person funding them aka George Soros. Radical Democrat Governors/Senators/Congressmen are all Socialist/Communist/Marxist and are easily identified by what they've been trying to do. They want to abolish the Constitution which of course means the Bill of Rights and more specifically the 1A and 2A. Again, not opinion but fact based upon their own words/actions.
Hilter, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and all the other of such ilk confiscated weapons and disbanded police. And we see what happened to those societies. It's right in their playbook, again, not opinion. It's stated fact in their own writings (Rules for Radicals, Naked Communist, Communist Manifesto). A disarmed society is a society that can be controlled.
So yes, they want weak, disarmed sheep that can be controlled and further victimized. They fear an armed populace because we have the ability to rise up and effect change when other means have been taken away.
