Having run several discussion boards, on various topics, and having talked with other adminstrators on other boards, zero-post members are the norm. It's hard to understand why someone would go to the effort of registering for an account but then never post, but it happens. It would of course be nice to have these folks start posting. Additional experiences to share, interests to discuss and such.

I invite a lot of folks to join the board and always encourage other members to likewise invite folks. Over time it grows.

And I'm always appreciative of the contributing members of the board :)

Can you see if the 0 post members actually are lurking or just registered and dipped out?

They have registered. Some just lurk and don’t participate, but that is the nature of most boards. Basically you’ll have your % of regular contributors. Then your semi-regulars. Then a bunch of zero post folks.

I just continue to invite folks I come across that seem like they may be interested and also good members. And we’ve also been fortunate that we haven’t had any trolls which is a huge plus.

I appreciate it. Word-of-mouth is always the best way to grow a forum. Someone joins, finds out it's a friendly place and tells his buddy who joins and so forth.
