Dental Records

I had to order my dental records and should have done so sooner.

For years, I had dental work done at a university. I was not under the impression that I might need to keep a copy of the records. After all, the dentist has an xray machine, etc.

It turned out that I needed to have a screw replacement on an implant. Although the dentist took a photograph of the existing one, the manufacturer sent a wrong replacement. A quick call to the dental school did not elicit information and I was required to order a copy of the records, which I did. The records copying took two weeks for just that. If I had had a copy of my records at home, I would have saved months of time.
