Another book by James Wesley Rawles continuing the story of the cannibal, commie looters.
Though set during the same economic collapse as The Patriots, this book takes place mostly in Australia and central Florida. Apparently Malaysia and Indonesia have turned radical Muslim and embedded sleeper cells in Australia to take out their Navy ships and air force planes with bombs during the world wide economic melt down. They then invade Australia. With the help of some expatriot Americans, the Aussies fight back.
Meanwhile in central Florida the Cubans are invading in the south and looters/gangs are moving up from Orlando and the UN/New World Order run govt army is moving down from Georgia and northern Florida. There are some twists and turns in the action.
The key theme is "never give up your guns"!
And once again the primary weapons of the survivors, at least in the US were 1911s, HK91s, M1As, and some AR15s.
In Australia the main American bought an illegal 303 British SMLE bolt gun AKA Short Mag Lee Enfield which was the British empire's main battle rifle in WWII and beyond. The Aussie govt pretty much banned and confiscated most of the guns. The Aussie military (at least when this book was written) uses the Aussie version of the Styer Aug.
