Ethics

Every year at this time I have to fill out a Statement of Economic Interest for the Illinois Ethics law since I'm Zoning and Planning Chairman. What I always find funny is all the fines and threats that are included in the documentation they send you stating if you fill it out falsely. (This is a volunteer position.)
Yet, when I look who keeps getting arrested in Illinois, it is the very ones that passed that Ethics law (Senators, Congressmen, and we have had several governors go to jail). It seems like the ones that need to worry about their ethics aren't the volunteers that are trying to help their community, but those that try to rule over the masses.
