Just got back from Dinner. Waiting on the coordinated attack across 50 state capitals by the proud boys demanding a recasting of the votes.

4 more hours until Jan 21st....I'm holding out for it - whatever that is.

Or are you ready to concede Dave - not saying you have to agree it was honest/lawful etc. But Biden IS the President, and as far as the entire US Government, the Military, and half + of the people....

No, I am not. I do not believe it is over and I'm content to let it play out.

I am going to give you a friendly warning however. You've posted 5 times in a row, basically being an ass with sarcastic remarks trying to provoke a response. That is trolling. Everyone here is entitled to post their beliefs and how they view things. And they are entitled to share those beliefs in a friendly atmosphere. You are not entitled to troll in post after post like a child. You need to knock it off.

I'm confused by one thing, why are the Dems spending so much time to try to impeach Trump, he is no longer President?

According to them, they won the election with a majority, so why would 2024 election result be a concern?

There are documented statements made by Dems that are far more inciting than words that Trump used, so why aren't the Dems facing charges?

I'm simple minded, so it just doesn't line up in my mind.

Ahhh - easy to understand:

On point 1: They want to send a message
- How DARE you attempt to intercede on the established royalty and leader class of the US known as Republicans and Democrats. Let this be a lesson to you all! We, the Government of the USA, will destroy you for interfering.

If you know anything about Trump in general, he really is what would objectively be identified as a Democrat Moderate in terms of his views on most things. Quite good friends, and supported by Democrat Icons most of his life as "one of them" (Oprah for example, many others). He basically chose the Republican party as a running group because he could beat the stuffed shirts they had running vs the Democrats who had already anointed Hillary.

On point 2: Because they did not win by a landslide
- Considering there was likely significantly more shenanigans than we heard of, that were let go, they did not win by some overwhelming majority. The LAST thing they need is a 3rd party coming in and wrecking them. See point 1 above. Even though it would be unlikely a third party would win, it could destroy them. Riding that and appeasing more left Democrats vs moderates will be Bidens biggest challenge within his own party.

If Trump runs, he will TRASH the Republican candidate; Thus the Repubs don't want him to be able to run. But imagine if Bernie went rogue? Or what about a Tulsi Gabbard, who would not only steal moderate Dems, but also get a lot independents and maybe even Repubs. No outsiders allowed. You see it when they both pile on 3rd parties. Trump was smart enough to learn that he couldn't run as an independent, so he chose the easiest party to disrupt.

All about maintaining power and control. This is of course my opinion. People who are still "In the game" will provide you with different opinions, but recognize the bias there.

I agree and I would add something the Ds do all the time. They make people choose sides and then bring it up in the next election. So, if someone votes against Trump impeachment they will have to defend it in the election.

The mistake the Ds are doing this time is that they should want Trump to run again. It would split the Rs and keep the fear of him alive. Best of all is if he was to start a 3rd party.

Again - if you are "in the game" you look at it as a D or an R. If you look at it as a .Gov, it is clear neither of them wants any competition and they are all will ing to squash it.

Yes - you want Trump to split the R's, but you DON"T want anyone to split the D's, and that could happen too.

The gov't is Ds & Rs, so we are saying the same thing.

Who is in your sights to split the Ds?

Bernie was a decent job of it the past couple election cycles until he got bought (or threatened) off.

Don't know...I doubt they will let anyone do that. JDH - well said on Bernie. He EASILY could go rogue. Yet he doesn't.

As much as I like Tulsi Gabbard, she to will sit there and tell you what a mess it is, and yet...keeps participating as a good little soldier...

Why? Money or threats. I think the threat machine is firing on all cylinders now.
