A man cannot call himself peaceful if he is not capable of violence. If he's not capable of violence he isn't peaceful, he is harmless. There is a distinct difference.

I measured my LCP 2 with 7-round mag from the top of the sight to the bottom of the mag and it was 4 3/8 inches tall.

Ordered an IWB holster yesterday off Amazon for the Max. Just arrived. Fit the Max fine. The cant is adjustable 0 to 20 degrees so I'll play around with it a bit. For times I want to carry it but not in the pocket. Figured there was only one way to test it out to see how well I like/dislike it.

So I've been carrying this off and on. I don't care for it AIWB but IWB at the 4 O'clock position is fine. Forgetting I'm even carrying it in this manner which I like. I'll still need to play around with the cant.

How does the Max compare to the G42 and G43?

I've had both the G42 and G43 and have the Max.

The G42 will be an inch longer. The height is about the same. Width is about the same. The G42 is a few ounces heavier if weighed empty. Loaded it would be closer as the Max capacity is larger.

I would say that generally, the G42 is going to be more shootable i.e. slightly less recoil, bit more grip to fill the hand. That's not to suggest the Max isn't shootable. It's fine and imo better than the LCP and LCP 2 in that regard. But I'd have to give the slight edge to Glock. Capacity is going to go to the Max with either 10+1 or 12+1. For pocket carry, both are doable but the nod has to go do the Max. Sights have to go to the Max. Ruger really did a good job. They went from small, milled in nubs to actual sights including a front night sight. The rear is a U notch so it's really easy to get a sight picture with it. The Glock can have nice night sights as well but they'd have to be added.

Overall, having experience with both, the G42 is a nice pistol but I got rid of it years ago. For the niche this type of pistol fills the Max fits better and checks more boxes.

The G43 is slightly larger than the G42. And again, like the G42, the G43 is a good, solid pistol. It just has limitations with capacity if that is an issue. I would have had more interest in the G43 if the larger capacity G43X mag fit it. Then you'd have the option of a higher capacity spare mag to carry as a back up. I compare the G43 more with the P365, Helcat, Shield Plus, Ruger Max 9 or the GX4. And as much as I like Glock and taking nothing away from the G43 being a solid pistol in-and-of-itself it simply doesn't compare to the Micro-9's in several areas.
