As a side note.... can't eat Chicken Cacciatore this day !

Back in the day as a FNG, we had a person down and out.... of course the old guy says to me do the mouth to mouth kid...
of course the person upchucked into my mouth

Next day I went out and got an ambu bag from a friend at the local hospital.... carried that item the rest of my career in the car ( till got promoted ) and have it today, stored away ( they were not small in the early eighties like now )

I saw more than one Deputy learn the hard way. They started issuing MTM masks that we could belt carry. Good ones. I still have several of them.

Being the medic, I just intubated the person once I was on scene. So, I got to avoid a lot of the unpleasantries.
