Yes I have thoughts on this:
Thought #1 - I want a .357 to go with the Lever, so not .357 Sig
Thought #2 - Yes, I would like a .357 Sig so I'd have 9mm, .40 AND .357.....
Gonna get a real .357 first...maybe with some of the Stim funding!

I go by "Dallas"
This should take care of my .357 cravings.
I'm feeling some Buffalo Bore .357 180g hardhats will get me over .357 sig for a while....

Well then don’t look at the 40 vs 357sig thread cause Mac and I are getting jazzed up about it

Nice set up "Dallas"
Put a scope on my single shot H&R. Had to go with high rings to clear the hammer spur. they make a low spur hammer for these things but I don't have one. The scope is a cheap 4x fixed. Little easier to shoot with my old eyes than the iron sights.
Also put a Pachmyr grip on my Security Six to help tame those heavy loads I've been using.
The whole Mac 357 Mag family together. My Dan Wesson w/6" bbl and 2 & 4" bbls, my Dad's 4" DW, and my Security 6. My Dad also had an 8" bbl for his DW. Since I got my Dad's DW I'll probably give mine to one of my sons with the 4" bbl on it. He can also have the 8" bbl which is too long to carry.
Still working on my buddy to get the Timberwolf pump 357 from him.
And...looking at that rifle now, I'm going to have to make a leather butt stock ammo holder cuff.

I'm watching a 77/357 now. I haven't even finished my current project, but I'm still craving a 357 to play with.

Something to consider in lieu of a 357 mag is the 350 Legend. It's like a 357 mag/max on steroids. 356 caliber bullet with better ballistics, longer range, very little recoil and available in all kinds of affordable bolt guns and AR platforms. Of course it's not interchangeable with a pistol but it has a lot going for it.

I'm familiar with it. Basically a 357maximum with a rebated rim. It has potential, but the mag has more upside for me.

The 350 L is considerably more powerful than the 357 Max but I understand not wanting to get into another caliber particularly one that doesn't have a pistol companion. I only suggested it as an alternative as the Ruger Ranch Rifle in 350L is probably cheaper and more available than a 77/357 and it has superior ballistics.
