Survival and Emergency Preparedness

I'm on RA meds... but got the singles shot 7 yrs ago. Nothing since thank goodness.
The shot last 10 yrs IIRC

Her last outbreak was October. She gets her RA infusion every other month. Although, they are looking at changing her medication again. She has been referred to Washington University (part of the BJC Health System) to their specialist there to see if there is a better treatment plan she should be on.

I went to my Doc for my annual old guy, medicare wellness checkup yesterday. When you get on medicare you are required to go to the Doc who asks you a bunch of questions to determine if you are being taken care of at home. they ask how much you eat, drink, pee. If you can walk, talk, stand up, sit down etc. etc. They give you 3 words at the beginning that you have to repeat back to them at the end.

Anyway....

The Doc asked me about the shingles, it's been 2 months. I said I was much better but the side of my head was still sensitive to the touch and I still have somewhat of a rash. He asked me about the meds he prescribed which I actually had been rationing to use occasionally to sleep when my head was bothering me. I was down to 3 or 4. He wrote me another script which is appreciated because they really help me sleep well when/if I need to.

The only bad part of the above ( which I also do once a year ) is the question they ALWAYS ask in NY...

Which is funny cause my primary Doc goes to the same indoor range as I and we usu talk about shooting

When other Docs ask the same thing ( usu on the pre-filled forms before checkup ) , On the forms I put down the letters;
"NOYFB"
They only had to ask the question once cause I had to prev tell them what it stands for....
