My Pulsar solar watch finally died after 35+ years. I started wearing my dad's old beat up nautical watch but it's gold and white hands on a white face is really hard to see. I wore it diving a couple weeks ago and while it is easier to see under water it's annoying to have to keep tilting it in daylight for the light to catch the gold hands. The luminescence makes the hand look white with very little contrast to the face.

Anyway...the watch thread over on Glock Talk goi me looking and I saw a You Tube video of the Best 5 dive watches under $100. After checking out a bunch of other "best under $100" vids one watch kept popping up. That is the Casio Duro MDV106 series. Kind of a pseudo dive watch, hence the Marlin on the face. Comes in various configurations the most basic is black with a plastic strap/band which is typically around $55. I ordered the same watch but with a metal bracelet band. It was around $65. It actually uses a Seiko movement.
I plan to take on vacation in a few weeks and dive with it in the future as well. It's good to know that if I ever lose it while diving it could sink to the bottom 646 feet down and still be waterproof. The deepest I've ever gone is 75 feet.

I almost bought this one. Highly rated and only $22 on Amazon but I wanted something nicer looking for ED wear. It would work diving as well. Though this one is only good to 328 feet.
