Terrorist hacker?

Post by David »

Note: I don't watch CNN or read their content for the same reason I don't eat out of the toilet, however, I saw this on FB and it was worth sharing.

Someone tried to poison a Florida city by hacking into the water treatment system, sheriff says

This little town is between me and Bob in terms of distance. I lived there as a teenager before I went into the service. This is a terrorist/deep state/false flag event I've been concerned about for a while. Water supplies aren't exactly guarded or hard targets. And it can effect a large number of people. Much more than a mass shooting or even suicide bombing.

Interesting. There are a lot of vulnerabilities in the world. https://www.foxnews.com/us/seattle-terr ... hist-group

Remember that there are two kinds of problems in this world: those you can do something about and those you can't. So, if you disconnect from the world for a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks, it may be all you need to survive.

Holy %^$#$%!!!! That's a little close....

I've got 17k gals of emergency water - but I gotta know to use it! Not sure my fridge filter would have stopped that.

Fortunately Biden/Congress will be right on this - once they get done reversing meaningless reversals of reversals, having tea with the teachers unions, etc. and spinning an excuse on how Trump is at fault...

Man, NOT cool!

The issue with poisoning a water supply, it is more difficult than it looks.

In the 'Old West' it was much simpler process by taking out a well that would at best have a few hundred gallons of water removed a day and that would be a very busy well. Even in older more public systems, they issue would become the flow of sewage into the water supply, not a one time poisoning.

Now days, our water systems process thousands of gallons of waters per minute.

Like anything, if there is a will there is a way, but unlike the movies, dropping three drops of the 'magic poison' in the system just doesn't work that away.

A Berkey is a must imo. It's simple and effective.

To make as clean water as possible, you need a distiller and then run it through the Berkley. Distilling will remove almost everything and the heat kills the bacteria and virus in the water. There are a few organic chemicals that will can be transported through the distilling system, which then by running the water through the the Berkley, it theoretically should reduce/remove the chemicals to a safe level with the carbon filters.

You can modify your distiller to allow for some off gassing of the light organic chemicals so the chemical isn't transported into your clean water.

Agreed. A water distiller is an excellent piece of equipment to have. Only thing to really be aware of is to make sure you are getting enough minerals as it won't be present in distilled water.

But yes, distilled water run through a Berkey is going to be as safe as you can possibly make it.
