I had a Ruger GP100 and gotta say, it is one heavy duty revolver. I can easily see where it would outlast a S&W or other make/model. And I've always liked the look. Their P series of pistol is also heavy duty. Maybe a boat anchor, but I've never really heard anything negative about their durability.
