I ran a few mags just to see how they worked; 20rd Hungarian and KCI's, US Palms (came with it), Mystery Metal 30rd, and a ProMag. Had one FTF with US Palms. Who knows why. Not judging - Dry gun, first mag, crappy ammo, blah blah blah. I suspect last time that ever happens.

All in all, I'm very satisfied. Paid more than I should have, but I supported an LGS to buy, got to check mag well, got the imported version, felt the stock stability, saw the wood. Worth it to me. IF I upgrade/mode anything, and that's a big if, it will be #1 Tritium from sight, and maybe,#2 an Ultimak gas tube rail and a 30mm red dot of some sort. Of course I'll para wrap the stock. My first WASR had that config and I really liked the heads up shooting with front mounted site that large. Perhaps a stock pad.
My slowly declining vision finds me farsighted. So I can wear glasses and see the sites, or take them off and see the target. Here is an expected performance from a WASR with an underfolder stock, using my glasses. It's minute of bad guy chest. The site definitely needs adjusted a touch. Honestly, stock was not as bad as I remembered them being.

And god help me, but who among us doesn't love mag dumping until the barrel smokes and the wood gets hot! This is without glasses, and basically almost barrel sighting / point shooting.
