We are smack dap in the path of the major winter storm. Be interesting to see how it plays out. According to the NWS just a few miles separate us from having 10+ inches of snow to having over half inch of ice.
Currently, we are on the snow side, yet drive 20 minutes to south and they are supposed to receive 3 inches of snow and over half inch of ice. I hope the storm pays attention the weather map and follows their plan. Otherwise we could have a nasty weekend.

We got about 4" just before Xmas in SE Michigan but its mostly gone by new years. We went up to the woods house (north) and there was no snow. However, its been snowing off an on for the last 2 days and we've picked up about 3". Very pretty in the woods . I've been splitting firewood so thats kept me busy.

We had 12 inches of sun shine this morning so I feel you guys

We ended up with 10 inches of snow and a little over an inch of sleet. Nephews came over with their atvs and snow plows on them and cleared the driver and sidewalks, which was greatly appreciated. Now, we are dealing with the cold. Yet, that is winter in the Midwest.
