Finally got to take it for a short run!!!
Ran about 75 rounds through it (putting 25 rounds in a 27 rd mag for general purpose use seems good - two mags per box of 50)
1st mag had a couple of FTE's. That said, I gave it ZERO going over prior, and it was only the first mag, so we'll see.
I zero'd the Red Dot (Crimson Trace) and went to town on a target 25 yeards out. FUN FUN FUN!!!!
Not ready for SHTF yet...but main event today was wife shooting .22...more to come.
I am sooo close to grabbing a 9mm PCC or Pistol
Re: I am sooo close to grabbing a 9mm PCC or Pistol
Probably dry out of the box. Lube it up and it should be good.
Re: I am sooo close to grabbing a 9mm PCC or Pistol
You can never have to many Glocks.
Re: I am sooo close to grabbing a 9mm PCC or Pistol
Everyone cuts their own trail. I don't own any Glocks. Ruger, S&W, Sig. My PCC is Ruger PCC 9mm and since I own no Glocks, I stay with the Ruger mag well, 17+ security 9 mags. Same as my EDC. My PCC 9 is a good shooter, and yes I can break it down & put together in less than a minute. PSA? or other PCC's? I only know what I have and am comfortable & accurate with it. YMMV, but for me? I'll stick with my setup. I like the idea of using firearms that use compatible Mags for both my pistols and PCC. I'm not a Glock guy, I have nothing against the brand as others might. Some day, maybe I'll own a few of them.Bob wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 2:12 pm So now my 9mm battery is as follows:
Carry or backups: Walther PPS and Ruger EDC
Tactical 9mms: HK USP and Glock 23/9
Full Metal: Beretta 92F and Browning HP
So between me & the wife, we can each have a small, a large (with lights), and one in reserve (without lights etc).
And now, in addition to that, I will have the PCC in 9. and I can get a couple of mags that work in the Glock or the PCC.
I'm almost thinking another Glock 9 would be in order. Not a fan, but they work...
And that of course leads to another 9mm PCC! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course...a 9mm suppressor comes to mind now also....

Nothing wrong with the Ruger PCC. Several in the group and they run well.Robert70 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 4:03 pmEveryone cuts their own trail. I don't own any Glocks. Ruger, S&W, Sig. Including the Glock adapter was genius. They opened the gun up to a way bigger market for the cost of a piece of plastic.
ETA: You may be the only Ruger Security 9 owner I've ever heard of.
Re: I am sooo close to grabbing a 9mm PCC or Pistol
I have both the Ruger Security 9 (4"), and my pocket carry is the 9c (3.42"). Hammer fired, decent pistols and have yet to fail me.Ronin.45 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 5:53 pmNothing wrong with the Ruger PCC.
