I have to say...this has been a fun project, because, well, Zombies are fun!
But at the end of the day...
- 5.56/.223 platform
- Fast, light, easy handling
- Grab and go bag with everything needed for a gunfight in SHTF
- Compact for car in a bugout
Could easily hand to an someone, an older kid, woman, etc to back me up in an emergency and no worries.

I have always wanted a G19 or something similar to have in the bag too.

Drop a 9mm conversion barrel in your G23 and it becomes a G19.
Or get another G23 and add a conversion barrel for a secondary, non-modded 2-in-1 pistol.

Random thoughts......
I wonder if you had to shoot zombies and then someone invented a cure the .gov would charge you with murder.
On the other hand, zombies, depending on what caused them to becoming zombies, could already be dead. Since you can't kill a dead person you'd probably be alright.
If however it was just a rage virus and you indiscriminately started shooting them you might be in trouble. I guess you'd have to wait for them to attack you to claim self defense.
Why do I think of that stuff?

I think self-defense would apply. I guess distance of the encouter would be a factor. Maybe no back of skull shots?
