Re: Peanut lighter to the rescue
When we went looking to see what we had to start the fire, we ended up with the peanut lighter, to Bic lighters from the bags, bottle of windproof matches, and three mag sticks and strikers. Plus, we each had one on our key chains. So, it was nice to see when we forget to hit the easy button, that w...

Peanut lighter to the rescue
We were at the farm today to burn some brush. I thought the wife grabbed the lighter, she thought I did. Well, we stood there looking at each other and I headed over to the EDC bag. Out came the peanut lighter, which I couldn't tell you the last time I filled it or checked it. It fired up. Used it t...

Re: Interesting morning
I have talked to several police officers/troopers and a couple of police chiefs and they said this is normal for the DEA and drug response team.
A couple pointed out, now that you have been cleared, I'm good to go make whatever I want. I just rolled my eyes.

Re: Sipik (SK68)
I have several of the generic lights like this. I keep them in the car and on more than one occasion have given them to a stranded motorist to help them change a tire. If we have the time, I will stick around and help in the process. Yet, on three different occasions we have been trying to get to lo...

Re: Inexpensive medical supplies
I like the idea and I have used the plastic ammo cans for this. They have the waterproof seal. If you use the ammo can make sure to label them well otherwise you may end up with someone bringing you a can of bullets instead of the medical supplies. Also, it is getting to the end of the year and if y...

Re: What have you done this week to forward your prepping goals 2020
It isn't directly for me, but it will help me. I purchased the book Be Ready for Anything: How to Survive Tornadoes, Earthquakes, Pandemics, Mass Shootings, Nuclear Disasters, and Other Life-Threatening Events and been giving that to family and friends. Even if only a third of them read and apply th...

It will be interesting to see what develops as we get closer to the election.

Is your vehicle ready for winter?
We had 3 inches of snow last night with some sleet/freezing rain. Currently snowing now and calling for 7 inches of snow. So, if you get stranded in your vehicle, is it prepared for you to use it as shelter? We have a sleeping bag in each vehicle and a blanket in each vehicle. Do you keep the tank a...

Re: Interesting morning
I found it odd, they never asked me for any ID or the wife. They showed us their ID and badges. It seemed like an awful big effort to come ask us about the empty pill cases and pill maker we had bought on Amazon. Beyond the three agents in the driveway, there was at least four more around the house....
