Re: Optics
I have an astigmatism in my shooting eye as well. Eotechs never worked well for me either. I guess the first step is narrowing down your choice to a dot or scope. If you want to go with a dot, Holosun is one of the best bang for buck companies right now. The 510 has some great features and can be ha...

Re: Don't tell Bob...
I traded off my Benelli a few years ago and haven't missed it. I quit shooting 3Gun in favor of 2Gun, don't hunt, and wouldn't choose it as an HD gun. It mostly just sat in the safe even though it was a great gun.

Re: shocked
The M&P Sport II and Canik are very solid, budget friendly guns. Both should serve you well in SD/HD and plinking roles.

Re: Interesting Drill
My abilities have definitely suffered as my eyes get worse.
I remember being able to see 22lr holes at 25ft 15 years ago.

Re: What could your EDC/GEB do for you if needed?
I'm still a novice prepper when it comes to things like this. I don't think there's a normal situation I'm not prepared for with just a cellphone. I don't travel more than 10-15 miles from home and a half mile from civilization on my normal routes. I have the tools and know-how to change a tire, but...

Interesting Drill
Very simple, but difficult drill. Blank paper or cardboard for target. Shoot one round with both hands. Switch to strong hand only and shoot one round at the first hole. Switch to weak hand only and shoot one round at same hole. The goal is to have all three rounds touching. Start close and work you...

Re: Your EDC folding pocket knife
In my expedition pocket pouch there is always a Kershaw Baby Boa. It's great for daily cutting duties.
If I'm carrying a pocket knife it's a Spyderco Yojimbo 2 or Paramilitary 2.

Re: Sig
I've never been a Sig fan. I've owned several over the last 20 years, but they never suited me. The 22X series has a pretty bad DA/SA trigger and a very high bore axis. I never liked how they constantly changed their models just enough that holsters weren't interchangeable. Sig fans who wanted to ge...
