Re: Hammer-fired vs. Striker-fired

I started with DA/SA HKs. I don't have any interest in going back. If I want to shoot DA, it'll be in a revolver like God intended. Too many advantages to the striker fired system for me. Lighter trigger, consistent trigger, much lower bore axis, simpler action with fewer pieces to wear and fail. Mu...

Re: Carrying a modified gun

The only mod on my main carry gun is the main spring... went from a 17 to a 20. Then it was tested by over 500 rounds and no issue. I think I'm good. Mods don't bother me as long as with the carry ammo the gun is 100% That's the key. Too many people like to swap parts, whether performance or cosmet...

Re: Carrying a modified gun

I was thinking modifications to the action as they pertain to reliability. Sights, grip tape/stippling, etc are a non-issue. I don't even listen when someone says a trigger job will get you in legal trouble. They can't ever come up with an instance where it has. My personal opinion is mods are ok as...

Carrying a modified gun

What do you guys think? Do you only carry stock guns or will you carry one that's been modified?

I'll answer tonight after my match so we can get some answers in first.

Re: Modified Zippo Test thread

It's well past any Zippo I've ever had. These solutions seem to work well.

Re: Glock 44 vs. Taurus TX22

Glock really shit the bed on this one. Making a 22 that doesn't shoot bulk pack is ridiculous. I don't have much interest in a 22 "trainer" anyway, but if that was my goal, the Taurus would be it.

I've heard too many horror stories of cheap knockoffs to bother with wish.

Re: Bang for the buck

I know I'm a big fan of the Olight. The price is right, the quality is good, and the selection is wonderful. I like Streamlight and have a few of those lights and they have lasted well, but for the cost, it was worth the change. I still have some Streamlights too. After getting well stocked with Ol...
