Re: Ammunition Sales Soar in Response to Coronavirus Panic

I've seen some sold out and slight price increases. Not sure why people are buying ammo for a flu, but people are generally stupid.

Re: Weapon Mounted Lights (WML)

Walking around your house with your flashlight extended out at arms length would be some very cumbersome maneuvering. Kind of difficult to pie corners and walk down hallways. In low-light matches we notice that even having the light a few inches offline can be a hindrance when sighting around corner...

Re: Panic buying at walmar?

Not Walmart, but the grocery store was about out of bottled water today. Usually pallets full of it. Didn't notice any other shortages, but didn't look in cleaner or canned goods aisles.

Re: Weapon Mounted Lights (WML)

As far as "spray and pray" attackers go, they would probably be just as likely to hit you if the light was slightly offline. In that case, having both hands on the gun to return fire quickly and accurately would be important.

Re: Weapon Mounted Lights (WML)

I'm not a big fan of permanently attached lights for civilian. It gives the bad guy a target. I suggest a good/small hand held light. You have more options. You can hold it away from you at arms length or under the gun. Also, you can use it without pulling out your gun. I think the benefits of a we...

Re: Weapon Mounted Lights (WML)

That's a Dawson +6 so it'll hold 23+1 if I topped it off(which I don't).
They come with an extra powered spring. I also run 21rd PMags in it when I use it at a match.

I chose a Glock as well, but with an Olight PL-Pro.

Re: Woods carry

We don't have any big threats around here so it's more about picking the correct load than stepping up to a bigger gun. I currently have some Lehigh Defense extreme defender for my 9mm. These give me a little added penetration in the off chance a deer, large feral dog, or even small black bear came ...

Re: Weapon Mounted Lights (WML)

I have a PL-Mini that I can slap on my G17 if we are shooting a low-light match. My suppressed bedside G17 has a PL-Pro and I recently added a PL-Pro to my suppressed SBR so I can run low-light carbine if I want.

The Streamlight is a great unit. You should be well served by it.
