Stocking up on ammo

When things leveled out after COVID, I watched and waited. Local prices on good 9mm hovered around $12.99 for a year or so. With inflation, that seems to be the new baseline. I don't know if we'll see sub-$10 again. When prices dipped below that baseline during a sale, I'd buy up a few cases. The be...

Re: Pocket: Pistol or revolver?

I pocket carry my 365 all the time. A little heavier than a Smith Airweight, but more compact and twice the capacity. Not to mention more powerful and shootable.

Glock mags. It comes with PMags, but any factory mags will work too.
It's almost a straight Glock clone. They just tried to improve anything they thought they could.

Re: Newest gun or latest upgrade

My bedside Glock 17 has been moved to competition duty and replaced by a Shadow Systems XR920. I wasn't familiar with that pistol and had to look it up. Looks nice, what made you switch to it from the G17? Where I store my bedside gun was just big enough for the 17 with Mod9sk suppressor. This cuts...

Re: Newest gun or latest upgrade

I've been pretty busy buying and upgrading since I've been off the board. Completely rebuilt my Bergara B14r precision rifle. New optic, new barrel, new chassis, and new bipod I just got a new Tippmann Micro Compact and have been optimizing it. Only need Hiperfire to get me a trigger. My bedside Glo...

Re: TX 22 Owners

Been gone a while, but my TXs are still running great. Just that one lot of Federal ammo keyholing. Everything else shoots great.

Re: Anyone seen Dave?

Skill Degradation

We all like to discuss skillsets, but none of us practice all our skills as much as we'd like. Since early 2020, like many shooters, I've leaned heavily into rimfire shooting. It was a cheaper way to continue running and attending matches without breaking the bank when 9mm was hitting $500/case or m...

Re: Pistol/SBR/Rifle Go-bag

I've noticed a distinct advantage with shoulder contact. I'd like to see anyone who claims otherwise run a carbine stage both ways back to back. Of course there's an advantage to another point of contact - I don't think anyone would argue seriously that there's not. But, apples and oranges. Let's t...
