Re: Bahco Carpenter knife

Thank you. I make my own paracord bracelets so it was pretty easy to do. And a lot of fun :) And it's practical. Protects the sheath and gives you a fairly good amount of cordage. I'm not very good with knots or paracord myself, but I do like wrap some of my larger knife and machete sheaths with so...

Re: Bahco Carpenter knife

Mac66, I used to do the same to my Clippers, except for the little paracord tab on the ranger band (great Idea!). I have also been known to duct tape to the back of the plastic sheath a sail needle with some line for making repairs and some times a few fish hooks as well - a very easy way to carry t...

Re: Five dollar challenge

I was thinking of making a fat wood version of the Doan Mag block out of a block of fat wood with a groove cut on the side to epoxy in a fire steel – never got around to doing it. Fat wood is much easier to shave off curls with a knife and fat wood does not go up in a flash when you light it. BTW I ...

Re: Bahco Carpenter knife

I might have to get one of those. Moras used to be $6 - $8 when I got mine, but I stopped buying them when the bushcraft guys discovered them and Mora jacked up the prices.
