So this just came out today. New product from Taurus to compete in the micro-9mm part of the pool. Completes with the Sig P365 (original micro 9mm), S.A. Hellcat, S&W Shield Plus and Ruger Max 9. I wouldn't buy any new design from any company for at least a year to see if any bugs crop up. But if it turns out to be a good pistol against the competition it may be worth a look for CCW as it will probably be about half the price.

Regarding mini double stack 9s....I think you have to ask yourself whether 2-6 extra rounds in the mag is worth $200+ more (in most cases). More rounds is better but that's what extra mags are for (not to mention a lot cheaper).

I'm learning that the street price of the G4X is going to be starting out sub-$400. And I would imagine that will fall after the initial flavor-of-the-month wears off. Which would follow Taurus' strategy of undercutting the competition. This puts it about $100 less than the Shield Plus and Ruger Max 9 offerings and even more of a difference from the Sig and Springfield offerings.
If it turns out to be a solid pistol (like the G2/3 series) they're going to sell a gazillion of them.

I'll keep my eye on it. Always open for something that works at a good price.
Kygunco has them listed as being in stock for $389.99 w/free shipping.
I watched a couple videos of it. Looks smaller than the Max9, Shield Plus, Hellcat and 365. Definately going to take a look at it when it falls into the low $300 range.
