I've mentioned before that the first Glock I ever purchased was a used Gen 2 Glock 17. And I carried it off-duty even in the Florida summer when the standard clothing is shorts and a T-shirt. Never seemed to have an issue concealing it with a Safariland leather holster. And it would have been even better if I would have been using a proper CCW belt like a Kore Essential. But even with a regular belt, it seemed to work.

These days it's a Glock 45 in a leather holster with the 30 degree 'FBI' cant. That seems to aid in concealing the longer grip. And of course with the Kore Essentials belt it's kept close and firm against the body. No wobble.

So even though I've gravitated towards smaller pistols over the years like the Sig P365/XL I still enjoy carrying the G45. And a good, full-size double stack has it's advantages in controllability and capacity.

I'm fine with it. I can't see myself carrying the Glock 22 any time soon, but I've carried the G45 and it was fine. That leather holster has been working very well. So has the one for the HK USPc40 which isn't as large as the G45 but it is slightly heavier.

It's nice to know I can if I want/need to.

Just an FYI....

I've been carrying my Ruger P97 45 acp IWB with a belt clip and an extra mag in a pocket clip mag pouch for the past 3 days just to try out the belt clips I bought. It is fairly comfortable (with the right belt) to the point I forget I'm carrying it. Next up to carry is my XD9 and Glock 22 as soon as I get the pocket mag pouches done.

No issue with full size... normal carry is a G20 anyway cause it's what I practice with the most ( most accurate )
Supertuck IWB makes it very easy

Florida, so I prefer smaller/lighter because of clothing.

But no such thing as too big. I COULD carry an HK Mk23 in a shoulder holster if I wanted.

Of course, I'm not small.

I just finished carrying my P97 for a week IWB. Visited my son across the state (5 hour drive) and walked around town all day yesterday 80 degrees, shorts, t-shirt and cover shirt (did about 5 miles). No more difficult to carry than my LC9s once you get used to it. I think this week I'm going to carry my Glock 22, just because.

Having the right belt and holster makes a lot of difference. Every now and again I get the urge to carry either the G45 or USPc, and I'm sure I will now and then. But the P365XL has just been working out so well that I haven't been lately. And now that I have the new holster it feels better. Still need to get in some more carry time with it to make sure though. If for some reason it doesn't work out I might just take off the TLR-6 and order a leather holster with a 30 degree cant like I have for the others.

Summer is basically here and the temps are getting up into the upper 90's so it's a good time to test out the holster.
