So what does your CCW of choice weigh? I decided to put a thread on this out of interest.
HK P30 = 7.12 length, 5.43 height, 1.37 width, barrel 3.85, sight radius 5.84, weight 26.8 empty, 35.2 loaded.
HK P2000 = 6.85 length, 5.07 height, 1.37 width, barrel 3.66, sight radius 5.55, weight 24.96 empty, 32.76 loaded.
HK USPc = 6.81 length, 5.00 height, 1.38 width, barrel 3.58, sight radius 5.31, weight 27.36 empty, 35.16 loaded.
Glock 19FS (Gen 5) = 6.85 length, 5.04 height, 1.0 width, barrel 4.02, sight radius 5.94, weight 23.63 empty, 30.16 loaded.
Glock 19X = 6.85 length, 5.47 height, 1.0 width, barrel 4.02, sight radius 5.94, weight 24.83 empty, 31.39 loaded.
Sig P365 = 5.8 length, height 4.1 (10-round mag), 1.0 width, barrel 4.02, sight radius N/A, weight 17.8 empty, 22.3 loaded.
A typical 9mm weighs .45 ounces (14 grams) and a 40 S&W .60 ounces (17 grams). That is a ball park and will differ depending on bullet weight and other factors.

You know that I've been very impressed with the Ruger LC9/LC9s series. Particularly that .9 width. It is without doubt extremely comfortable to carry, even in a pocket if you wanted. 7+1 isn't bad at all for a single-stack with the 9-round optional mag. I was very pleased with the ones I had and found myself carrying them more than the G26 I had at the time.

I forgot that my son has a digital scale that he uses for his food preps. We pulled it out and did some measurements (all fully loaded with one in the chamber):
HK P2000 40S&W 32.9 ounces
HK USPc40 34.6
Glock 19.5FS 30.1
19X w/19 round mag 32.6
w/17 round mag 31.8
Pl-Mini 2 Valkyrie 2.5
So it looks like I was pretty close with the original estimates of weight based upon posted weight on their respective websites.

This thread got me thinking a bit. I recently gave my son my G19.5FS. He shot it at the match a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. So I figured he'd appreciate it and it was really just an extra pistol for me that wasn't getting much use. He was really pleased with it and has been using it as his CCW ever since. For grins I strapped on my 19X for today's walk with him around the neighborhood. Have to admit, it felt like an old friend. Not that I've carried the 19X before, this was actually the first time. But my first Glock was a G17.2 that I use to carry off-duty back in the mid 90's. So this was very similar.
I've also recently carried my HK USPc and P2000 to see how they carried. The 19X and the HK's are full and compact pistols that have some size and weight to them. With the Pl-Mini 2 Valkyrie attached (and 17-round mag) the 19X weighs in at a total of 34.3 ounces. Almost the same as my HK USPc40. The difference is 13 rounds of 40S&W vs. 18 rounds of 9mm. Five rounds is fairly substantial. And it makes you ponder, if you're going to carry a larger double-stack pistol which makes you feel more comfortable? It's an interesting consideration. Not necessarily a 'X' caliber vs. 'Y' caliber consideration, nor is it simply a matter of capacity either. Factor in my P365 with 12+1 rounds and a TLR-6 WML at 24.9 ounces into the equation. Same capacity (but different caliber) as the HK but 9.7 ounces lighter. That is also substantial. Now for grins, let's toss into the equation my Ruger LCP II with 8 rounds of .380 at a whopping 13.3 ounces. That's another 11.6 ounces lighter than the P365 and 21 ounces lighter than the 19X. Of course now your really looking at a caliber/capacity contrast as well.
For day to day CCW is half a pound worth 5 extra rounds (19X and P365 as an example)? For around the house and/or pocket carry is around half a pound difference worth a caliber change and 5 less rounds (P365 and LCP II)? Different folks will answer differently depending on what they feel is more important. Also the feel and controllability of the pistol is a factor as well.
Just tossing out ponderings for consideration.

My LCP (the pink one) weighs 12.6 ounces with 7 rounds/extended pinky base plate/Hogue Handall and LaserMaxx laser.
Taurus G2 w/18 rounds weighs 30.5 ounces.
S&W 380EZ w/9 rounds weighs 20.6 ounces.
Interesting that the LCP, even with the added base plate, Hogue grip and laser still weighs less than the LCP II with an extended mag and 8 rounds.

I weighed the Glock 45 and with 17-round mag it is 31.3 ounces. Which is interesting as it's 5 ounces lighter than the 19X (according to my scale). The 19X has the lip on the front of the magwell and the lanyard but does that sound like 5 ounces? Perhaps some slight internal differences?

5oz difference is pretty huge considering they are externally identical. I wonder what is different inside.

This is what happens when you putz around after your bed time! It isn't a 4-5 ounce difference, it's a .4 - .5 ounce difference. My bad
