Bump-In-The-Night.

So most of us have a night stand pistol, perhaps a long gun for those BITN scenarios. Do you have anything else? I'll also expand this to scenarios that aren't home intruder related, like a fire or natural disaster that wake you in the wee hours. Have you ever had a late night 'happening'?

*******

I have a heavy body armor vest available under the bed as well as a PCC available, in addition to the night stand pistol (19X).

Also available is a fire extinguisher bed side on the floor, flashlight (several), clothing and normally shoes within reach.

There's been a few times I was awakened by either the home alarm or the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. Fortunately those times were false alarms. I was once awakened by knocking on the front door at 4am. It was the next door neighbor. My AC had been struck by lightning and was making an awful racket. I didn't hear it as it was on the other side of the house, but on the side his bedroom was on. It was nice to have clothes handy to put on and go out.

Actually awaked by a bump in the night around 4:30 am

The kid accidentally kicked his door. He was practicing Kung Fu in his room. LOL

1. HK USP in draw
2. Light by bed
3. Always slip on shoes by bed
4. Vest and SG in Closet (trauma kit own vest)
5. Dog in room
6. Cell phone

However...Fire extinguisher would be a great add!

Pistol on nightstand with suppressor, light, and dot.
Also on the nightstand is a handheld flashlight, mini lantern, and cellphone for any issues the gun can't help with.
