Same thing as every other panic. Things get real scarce, companies run more shifts but can't catch up, they eventually open additional facilities, supply catches demand, panic slows, market floods with ammo from extra shifts and facilities, I stock up on cheap ammo.

Yeah - just feeling it right now. Down to less than 2k 9mm. Meh...chill a little bit, but when I find at < .50 per round. Shoot .45 or .38 or whatever....

Trying to conserve my stock of center fire. Been shooting lots of 22s instead of CF stuff.

I've been in conservation mode as well. I used some a few times in the last couple of months to vet some newly obtained pistols as well as give my wife some trigger time with her pistols. And I went to one match last month. But that's it.

I had planned on picking up a .22 pistol for inexpensive shooting, but with the new house being built I'm not in any hurry to buy a new pistol.
A man cannot call himself peaceful if he is not capable of violence. If he's not capable of violence he isn't peaceful, he is harmless. There is a distinct difference.

Fate whispers to the warrior "You cannot weather this storm". The warrior replies, "I am the storm".

My 9mm consumption came to a standstill during the shutdown. No matches to even shoot at. Now we are shooting again, but only half as many indoor matches because one range closed permanently. I've opened rimfire categories for all outdoor matches so it's easier for people to afford to play.
I can go a few years at this rate without needing ammo.
