The life expectancy of Pop Tarts

I have long considered Pop Tarts to be an excellent survival food in many ways. Good calorie count, filling, high carb, sugar boost, vitamin fortified, tasty, easily dividable, and low profile.

I have 3 kids, so I go through them fairly quickly on rotation. Recently, however, I have lost a kid to college, and another to mostly staying at mom's/military. So the cycle;e has slowed down.

As I went through the deep preps in Corona readiness, I came across a box that had been stored in an out-of-the-way cupboard...

3 yrs past the due date. So naturally I ate a pack! Report

A little chewy, but otherwise still fine! And these were Walmart/Great Value so you know they cheated on the packaging etc.
