This video was made by someone on another gun forum where I'm a member. He puts out some very good videos on gun related topics. He posted this one today and I enjoyed it and wanted to share it here for discussion.
I was thinking of Bob because of the single-action .357magnum revolver he got recently. May be of benefit to him.
A man cannot call himself peaceful if he is not capable of violence. If he's not capable of violence he isn't peaceful, he is harmless. There is a distinct difference.

The only real issue with single action is no swing out cylinder for reloading.

Does make it slower for sure. However, if you get one of the Hollywood single-actions you don't ever have to worry about reloading.

Or get one of those black powder revolvers and just change cylinders like Josey Wales.

We are talking home defense distances with a 6.5" barrel. You can shoot a lot faster than that for COM.
- I do use that grip/style for cocking the hammer when at the range.
Also, we are using a .357 magnum, so every one of those hits has considerably more oomph than .9, .40, or .45. There is a reason they don't include .357 magnum in comparisons of those cartridges. It isn't because of semi vs revolver, it is because it smokes them all.
It would not be my first choice gun, but again, I wouldn't be too concerned about using it. Plus, when out of ammo can use it like a hammer.
