Small belt pouch: U-pick-it priorities
#1
Question
Okay, little mental exercise  Idea

Let's say you carry an EDC belt pouch.  Something similar to what I have pictured in Post #2.

It could be smaller, like a Maxpedition mini/micro pocket organizer or something a bit larger.  But something that you plan to EDC.  Given the size limitations, what would you put in it? What items would you feel are important to EDC pretty much everywhere?  General or specific is fine.  And why those items?

I'm thinking about the following as a base line:

  • Sawyer Mini
  • Gerber Suspension MT
  • Spare magazine
  • Nitecore EA11 LED flashlight
  • Spare 14500/AA batteries
  • Battery pack to charge cell phone with appropriate cables
  • Pen, preferably a tactical pen but not sure if it will fit or not

I currently EDC loose or clipped to my pockets (not including gun/spare mag):
- car keys with OC spray
- small pocket knife (it's a "tool", officer)
- small AA light
- step counter
- Leatherman PS4 multi-tool

I see no need to EDC spare batteries. I'd really like to find the perfect belt-mountable pouch to carry the light, step counter, and multi-tool. I may have to end up crafting something.

Gasp!  That's just crazy talk.  Of course, I'm a 'flashoholic'  Big Grin

I always have at least one spare set of batteries for each light that I may have with me.  Figure they're small enough to toss into even my small belt pouch.

Out of curiosity, what kind of O.C. do you carry and what's the size?  I like those 'triple' sprays that have O.C., mace and dye marker.  We did some testing with those years ago (don't remember the brand) and it put a hurting on our volunteer test subject.  Moreso that O.C. alone.

As a side note, in the waist pouch pictured in the other thread, it will hold a gun like a Glock 26 as long as it has the flat base plate.  I haven't tried it yet with the HK P30SK but I bet it would work.  An option for those times I may not be able to IWB carry (although one of my holsters is tuckable).  For all anyone knows it looks like it would hold something like a cell phone and stuff un-gun related.
