Exotac Fire Sleeve

I believe Wolf purchased one of these.  I'd like to see his review.

Yes i bought one awhile back and now have 4 one for each family member, i would strongly recommend attaching the black top section to the bottom orange section. Spent 40 minutes looking for the cap my youngest lost. As in the video we have ours on a neck lanyard bungeed to our neck knives sheaths.

Bottom line is it works as discribed and works well with the standard bic lighters.

you can use one of the mini lighters and pack the space with tinder, which is how my son has his arraged at the moment. one issue has been if you squeeze the holder, due to the loose fit of the mini lighter the seal can fail as it distorts.

We have tried other lighters in the holder some fit some don't, if you distort the holder the seals are not good.

Looking around the web I also found these:

Ranger Bic

This would also work and instead of the cigs have spare items and tinder:

And if you wanted to go super cheap (my favorite Smile  ) you can use an old vitamin or pill bottle.  I've done this in the GHB's along with tinder, matches, mag bars etc.

The Fire Sleeve is $14.95 + $4.19 S&H so say $20.  Is it worth it?  I saw a reviewer on their page say he liked the item but it's a $9.95 item.  Your thoughts  Smile

Nice idea, but not at $20. I do like David's cigarette case. Offers a lot more room for tinder or other items. A similar case is on Amazon for $8.89 shipped.

@ Wolfman, I'd like to know how these are holding up for you and the family?
